I hate to clean house, but I do because I have to. I can remember as a child my mother would ask me to clean the bathroom and i would always say "Do I have too?" maybe I could still get away with that today and do sometimes. Am I the only one who just hates to clean house?

I get.... Awwwww mom--- do I have to?  I'm sure I said the same to my mom when told to do something.

I don't mind cleaning- I actually love a clean house- and it won't clean itself.  I think my favorite place to clean is the bathrooms.  Only because I want them spotless-- and you know the saying- you want something done right- do it yourself.

Everyone feels the same way like you. However there is no option left . Since cleanliness and health are very important to us than our personal opinions.

I enjoy cleaning the house and I am not kidding! It is a relaxation thing for me and I feel so much better after I have the house clean. But, I know I am in the minority and most people dislike cleaning.

Cleaning is not my forte, I'll admit it. But once in a great while, my husband will clean. It only happens once every few months, but when he does, it's sooooooooo nice.

Between cleaning and grocery shopping, I would not know which would one would give me greater satisfaction.

I wish there was a device that we could install in the house, turn on the button, and it would suck all dust and grime from the floor, from the walls, from the ceilings.

Then we can all get fat and honeymoon on the couch.

I am a big fan of a clean house but am also very busy and so is my wife. She suggested hiring someone to come in and clean once every two weeks, something that I was very much against... after all if we just picked up after ourselves the house would not be a mess.

Finally she hired someone to come in and clean house for $80, a rate that I thought was quite high as she was only here for about 4 hours. I was not impressed.

The 3rd time the cleaning lady came I vented at my wife but she stood her ground. She didn’t want to clean toilets and dust as she was busy with the kids and her freelance business  and I was busy with my job. In the end I just quit complaining and our house is a lot cleaner. The cleaning lady comes once every two weeks and my wife seems extra happy the days she is here… the reality is if the  wife is happy, everyone is happy.

You pay someone $20 an hour to clean your house...where can I drop of a resume? That should not cost more than $10 an hour as that job does not need an education.

I would say that $20 an hour is fair if they are supplying the cleaning supplies.
