what kind of things do you make in the slow cooker? Quick soups and stews might reheat faster on the stove but BBQ and other stuff. What do you use your slow cooker for?

I've been thinking of buying one.  Perhaps I'd start with a stew!

Get a pork or beef roast and put in the slow cooker with just a little bit of water. A few seasonings, maybe some BBQ sauce or A1 - forget it for a few hours. Pull apart/shred it and add BBQ sauce to taste....easy pulled pork or shredded beef BBQ sandwiches. And if you live alone it's even better! Freeze it in portions and use for lunches or those "don't want to make anything but don't want to go out" nights. Easy to reheat, put on bun, toast or bread.
