  • Setting Up a Greenhouse

There are several things that you need to know when planning on setting up greenhouses.  Taking care to plan will increase your potential while saving you money.  It requires a little research, lots of thought and that loathed process of budgeting, but all in all, it is lots of fun, especially when the planning is done and you can make your ambition of being a phenomenal gardener a reality.

    • Potting Soil

There is no perfect mix when it comes to potting soil because the requirement of the plants matter.  There are tons of pre-packaged potting soil mixtures that are sufficient for many plants and then there are specialized soils for particular plants that are sensitive and require a certain texture and mix of nutrients.

    • Roses

A rose is one of the most recognizable flowers in the United States and around the world. Its fragrance and soft petals, not to mention sharp thorns, make it distinguishable over any others in the garden.

    • What Do Worms Eat

What worms eat depends in part on where they live. Worms can live closer to the surface or much deeper underground. On the surface, worms eat a variety of organic materials, such as dead grass and leaves that have fallen from the trees.

    • Growing Pumpkins

Just as varied as their growing habits are the varieties of pumpkins you can grow.  Pumpkins are many things, but they are not technically squash or gourds.  All three are actually in the Cucurbitaceae family, although the Greek root for pumpkin literally means: large melon.

    • Growing Cucumbers

As members of the same family that gives us squash and watermelons, cucumbers thrive in warm weather and sandy soil, but can grow in most types of well-nourished ground. The ideal temperature range is between 65 and 75 ºF. Cucumbers and the other members of its family do not tolerate frost.
