Great ideas. I do reading and math centers everyday. I would like to try once a week to do social studies/science centers. I have not thought of asking parents for donations of materials, but I will consider it. This was a great article.

Super ideas for centers in the classroom! This article gave clarity to some super ideas for materials to use to build centers. I like how it reminds us to get the parents involved to donate materials that are found around the home. I have found that many parents are willing to buy materials for the classroom and some can use their skills to help build items needed.

Great ideas for centers. I have tried some of these centers but we are limited on some materials and equipment. We try to do the best we can with what we have. I have not asked parents for materials so maybe I will try that.
